Partially or completely white horses are very popular. Many breeders also choose to mate horses with a lot of white to produce spectacularly marked foals. Sometimes it can be very hard to tell which white marking genes your horse may carry.

Our white marking genetic testing package is suitable for horses with anything from a big blaze and high socks to completely white horses. It includes:

• Testing for grey, tobiano, sabino 1, W20, Appaloosa or leopard complex, frame overo and SW1

This package will identify the genetic basis of your horse's partly or totally white coat colour for most Australian horses. It is not ideal for horses known to have splashed white ancestors carrying SW2 or SW3 (i.e. some Quarter Horses and Paint Horses, especially those with Miss Smokin Hickory in their pedigree).
